Body of Knowledge and Skills (BOKS)

Becoming certified as an EADPP Data Protection Professional requires passing the Certification exam.

The Data Protection Professional Certification program comprehensively encompasses not solely the legal dimensions, akin to those found in the Data Protection Officer (DPO) exam, but also extends to encompass the domains of cybersecurity, as well as the cultivation of essential human skills and adeptness in procedural aspects. These multifaceted elements are essential constituents of the skill set requisite for a proficient Data Protection Professional.

Individuals aspiring to attain a Certification as a Data Protection Professional may judiciously employ the Body of Knowledge and Skills (BOKS) as a guiding compass to navigate the terrain of essential knowledge and competencies. The quantum of recommended learning and training hours is contingent upon the candidate’s pre-existing proficiency and practical experience within the five principal domains encapsulated within the certification’s BOKS.

A more detailed description of the BOKS can be found in the Syllabus, available for download here.
